IC;; Noki was sitting on his bed, the covers nicely folded and neat. He leaned against the wall with his legs crossed, the book in his lap. He was quiet, turning the page as he devoured each word. |

Liliana was on her bed, which was unlike her roomate's bed which was nice and neat. Hers was a mess, and it looked as though a hurricane ran over it, more than one time. She yawned, rubbing her eyes cutely. She was tired, and would have slept in if her alarm clock hadn't woke her up with its blaring noise.

Noki glanced up as he heard Liliana yawn; it was still the beginning of the year so he had only known her for around a week now. He looked down shyly, not saying anything as he started reading again.

Liliana looked at her new roommate, studying him. He seemed nice, and was surely cute, but she didn't know anything past that information. She felt a bit awkward sitting there in the silence they had created, so she decided to start the conversation. "So..." She started, "Do you have any siblings?"

Noki looked up again as he heard Liliana speak, meeting her eyes for a moment before looking away. "No." he said quietly. "Do you?"

Liliana swung her feet over the bed, a bit surprised he didn't have siblings. She simply nodded at his question, "I do, actually. An older brother and a twin brother." She sighed, clutching her sweater and it looked like she was hugging herself. "They're the only family I know, you know? Well... I mean... I don't know if you know but..." She felt a bit awkward, not sure how to keep the conversation going.

Noki nodded, keeping quiet as she spoke. He didn't really know what she was talking about, but he couldn't help smiling a bit because of her awkwardness. He wasn't making fun of her or anything, just thought it was...cute? He didn't know the word. "That's nice." He said quietly, still not making eye contact

Liliana nodded, "Anyhoo... What book are you reading?" She looked at him, blinking innocently as her legs kept swinging. He didn't seem much off a talker, which sort-of made her feel awkward. How could she depend on her roommate if he barely talked to her? But then again, maybe it was always because they were different genders. She just didn't know.

"How to Train your Dragon." he said quietly; it was definitely a step down from the larger books he usually read, but he was curious about it. He ducked his head and looked down at his lap shyly.

Liliana looked at him, her eyes seeming to sparkle. "Really? I love that book! It's a good one, you know. You liking it so far?" She giggled, putting her head on her hands as she laid her belly on the bed, watching him. She pushed her feet up and down, then placing it on the wall. She guessed he wasn't so boring, but he surely didn't talk much. Liliana's eyes widened as she thought he might not like her. What would she do? She couldn't have that! Everyone had to like her! If they didn't, that would disappoint her and sadden her.

Noki smiled as she said she liked the book. He nodded. "Yes, it's good." He said, slowly closing the book and smiling shyly at her. He leaned against the wall, his legs crossed Indian-style. He kept the book in his lap, his hands resting on the cover

Liliana smiled warmly, kicking her feet again, "So, what powers do you got? I mean, if you don't wanna tell, that's fine by me!" She puffed out her cheeks, not sure what to do after that. It was really awkward, and he wasn't really giving her much of a conversation to go on.

Noki looked down at his lap. "I can shift into different objects and transport." He said quietly, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "What about you?" He asked, glancing up at her.

Liliana giggled, "That's cool! As for me, I can see people's past by touching their possessions, know what people are feeling, and I have Siren Song, but I wouldn't dare use it on you! You're my roommate~!" Her eyes filled up with amusement as she grabbed her heart-shaped pillow.

Liliana smiled, "Empathy is my favorite. I know how people feel, so I won't upset anyone or make them mad. I want people to like me because... I've never known love other than my brothers, so I want to know what it's like for people to care about me, so in order for people to care about me, I have to care about them, right?" She replied, tilting her head slightly at the response. She blinked, a bit unsure of her answers.

Noki nodded, thinking about her response. He leaned his head back against the wall. "I guess it's a good power to have, but wouldn't it hurt?" He finally asked, watching Liliana. "I mean, when people feel pain or anger wouldn't you feel it too?" He asked, his tone soft. He brushed some of his hair away from his eyes

Liliana placed a strand piece of hair behind her ear. For a split second, she looked serious until she placed her usual smile on her face. "Not really, my powers aren't at it's maximum. I can't mimic with knowing, and I can't tell unless I ask. I can't control when Siren Song happens, but it's my strongest move; however, I'll stop talking if I start accidentally using it on you. As for my Psychometry, I can only tell flashes of a person's flash, and I don't interpret things well." She giggled nervously, closing her eyes, "I'm flawed like everyone else, but I like the powers I have, really."

She laid there, feeling the awkwardness in the air, coming for on both him and her. She gulped, whispering softly, "Is something wrong? Did I offend you or something? Imm really sorry, please don't be mad." She sounded like a little kid, on the verge of tears, which she hated to do. She sucked it up, not showing that she was sad.
